Current Worship Schedule

We will be worshipping virtually at 9:30 a.m. during July and August, which is our normal summer schedule.  We will be sharing our worship services with First Church, our tech. team will produce July services, with Rev. Moon preaching and Rev. Yonkman (Transitional Sr. Minister at First Church) assisting.  In August, First Church tech. team will produce the services and Rev. Moon and Rev. Fischer will assist Rev. Yonkman, who will be the preacher.  We might even get a children’s message from upper Michigan, where Brita Gotberg will be for the summer.  Our choirs are seeking to jointly bring music to a few of our summer services.

We look forward to enjoying these services with our sibling congregation. If there are any of you who might want to greet our community during our worship services via a pre-recorded, self recorded, video, contact Denny for more information: denny@southchurch.necoxmail.com,   860-874-4273.  Here are the texts and sermon titles for the month of July.

Rev. Todd Yonkman, Transitional Minister at First Church,  is preaching during the month of August, and is asking for our suggestions of scripture passages that he might preach on. If you feel so moved, here is the ask:

* Send him one of your favorite passages, by July 15, at: toddyonkman@gmail.com;

* If you wish, you could video yourself reading it and send it to him to be included in the service;

He will probably get more than four favorite texts, so yours might not be chosen, it could be joined with another, or we will use it at some other point during the year. Thanks for sharing one of your favorite texts.
