Sermons are not a generic, one size fits all, general piece of advice for the planet. Rather, they are written for a specific congregation at a specific point in time. Preaching is an art form that, following preparation, happens in the moment and relies on the interplay between pulpit and pew. To listen to a recording of a sermon without being there clearly puts one at a disadvantage. Yet, like listening to a ballgame on the radio, it can be an edifying and fulfilling proposition.
With that caveat, we invite you to listen to our sermons at South Church, with the hope that they will help you understand more clearly who God has called you to be.
